The best leaders know that they don’t know what they don’t know. And as leaders, it’s on us to get help identifying and addressing our blindspots. At REACH•ABLE we have a tool for this, called The Leadership Inventory and our coaches will work with you to gather feedback from across your organization and your key stakeholders and help you reflect and distill into actionable advice to

Every leader wants to know what areas they should work on to develop their leadership, build executive presence and get promoted (we were all thinking it, right?). And The Leadership Inventory helps do this by getting feedback in five categories but unlike getting a survey result in the mail, you’ll be working hand in hand with your coach to reflect on feedback from yourself, your peers and team, and your manager to make sure its the most actionable possible.
Your experience with The Leadership Inventory will be customized to your needs, but typically follows these areas of assessment:

The Leadership Inventory takes only a few minutes per section, and clients are typically surprised about how much more effective 360 feedback can be when done outside of a performance review process where often punches are pulled as no one wants to tattle or hurt each other’s bonus potential. We’ve used this tool and others like it to facilitate personalized professional growth plans for dozens of leaders that were in your shoes. From public company CEOs to aspiring managers at startups, this process provides actionable feedback, helping leaders improve their interaction with teams, peers, and stakeholders, ultimately aiming to amplify their leadership skills and effectiveness in their roles.

The first question that comes up for leaders consider an executive coach is often “what is the cost?” and as you research professional development programs you’ll see there is a wide range of opportunities at nearly every level of investment. At REACH•ABLE, our most popular and effective executive coaching programs for leaders start at $8,500 and range to about $12,000 per person. These programs include 12-15 coaching sessions, typically over 3-6 months.
The next natural question to explore as you consider if coaching is right for you is if this is something that will be sponsored by your employer or if you’ll be self-sponsoring your engagement. On your first call with a coach you might also want to talk through the strategy of how to engage your company in planning for and potentially funding your coaching program.
Regardless of what program you are considering, or what company you’ll work with, please consider interviewing a few coaches to find the right fit. Sometimes when you meet a coach you just click, and other times you might feel like meeting a few people to see what fits best for you. Your coach is going to be someone you hopefully have a long-term relationship with and you’ll want to make sure its someone you feel comfortable with being in your professional life as you honestly address some hard questions.
